The Intersolar Fair was held in Munich from 10th -12th June 2015. This year’s range of exhibits attracted visitors from over 140 countries and exhibitors from 42 countries, out of which around 50% from outside of Germany, underlining the international orientation of the exhibition. News of increased investments in solar energy and the enormous expansion of Photovoltaics worldwide created a positive atmosphere among exhibitors and visitors.
In the field of Photovoltaics, the smaller number of exhibitors in comparison with previous year was by some exhibitors rated as positive, accentuating the best players in the individual parts of the industry. In addition to solar electricity generation, the leading international exhibition shined the spotlight on grid integration, intelligent energy management and renewable energy storage in particular. The number of exhibitors in energy storage rose from around 250 last year to 330 this year, showing increasing relevance of storage technology.
